You spend a lot of your life doing, caring, working or showing up for everyone else, and you’re ready for a few days that are about you.

Maybe you want to rest, reconnect with yourself and your body, celebrate a new chapter, try something brave, or simply experience what it feels like to be cared for, surrounded by nature and photographed in a way that feels genuinely like you.

You don’t need to arrive needing to be fixed.
There is guidance, reflection and connection, but no forced sharing and no pressure to participate in everything.Come as you are. Take what you need.

What makes this retreat diffrent
YOU DON’T JUST LEAVE WITH A MEMORY. YOU GET TO SEE YOURSELF IN IT.

At the heart of the retreat is your own private Studio Margaret portrait experience, supported by Seeing Yourself Differently, a gentle body-confidence and portrait-preparation workshop created to help you feel more comfortable in your body and in front of the camera.

You don’t need modeling experience, lingerie or confidence before you arrive. I guide you through the entire experience, whether you want something soft, feminine, sensual, powerful, natural or completely your own.

‍The point isn’t how much you show. It’s how you feel when you finally see yourself.
WORDS FROM WOMEN I'VE PHOTOGRAPHED

The Experience, In Their Words

What stood out the most was how effortlessly she guided me through the poses, making me feel comfortable and confident at every moment.
During the session, I felt relaxed and knew I was in good hands. And honestly, the best proof of how happy I am is how much I love the photos — they’re absolutely beautiful!
YOUR HOME IN COSTA RICA

Between sessions, there is time for quiet mornings, shared meals, conversations by the pool, and space to simply rest. This isn't just where you'll sleep. The villa is part of the retreat itself.

‍
You don’t need to know how to pose or arrive feeling confident. I guide you throughout the entire experience. Before the retreat, we’ll use your private questionnaire to plan your style, outfits, preferred level of coverage, boundaries and location preferences. Boudoir does not require lingerie or nudity, and you can change your mind about any pose, outfit or idea at any time.

Afterward, you’ll receive a private proof gallery and choose your 15 included photographs for professional editing. Additional photographs may be purchased separately. Your final gallery remains online for one year, and you’ll also choose one included photograph for your professional 8×10-inch print shipped to one home address.

Meet margaret
I’m Margaret, the photographer and woman behind Studio Margaret.

I’m originally from Poland, studied fine-art photography in Norway and now call Guanacaste, Costa Rica home.

For more than ten years, I’ve photographed women through motherhood, relationships, milestones, change, celebration and the quieter moments when they simply wanted to feel like themselves again.

I’m also a yoga teacher and a mother, and I understand how easily our own needs can disappear underneath work, family and everyday responsibility.

I created this retreat to bring together what matters most to me:

‍photography, movement, nature, women’s confidence and the experience of being genuinely seen.

‍
I’m not here to tell you who you should become.

My role is to create the environment, guide you when you need it, give you space when you don’t and photograph you with care.

‍You bring yourself. That’s enough.

You may modify or skip an activity and use your free time however you need.

What if the weather changes, I need to cancel, or the retreat doesn’t go ahead?

The retreat schedule may change according to Costa Rica’s tropical weather, photography light, safety and other conditions.

If you cancel, applicable cancellation and refund terms depend on timing and are explained in the booking agreement provided before payment.

I strongly recommend travel insurance.

The retreat requires a minimum of 5 confirmed participants.

The intention is to confirm minimum enrollment no later than September 25, 2026.

‍If Studio Margaret cancels because the minimum of 5 participants is not reached, all retreat payments made directly to Studio Margaret will be refunded.

Until the retreat is officially confirmed, I recommend avoiding non-refundable flights or other non-refundable travel arrangements whenever possible.
